Department Overview

The Performance Measurement & Reporting (PM&R) team, part of the ~1,000-person Operations Support organization, provides strategic visibility and regulatory reporting across Operations (Ops) and Engineering, Planning & Strategy (EP&S). PM&R manages over 1,000 KPIs, facilitates incentive plan target setting, and ensures reporting governance and CPUC compliance. Through its work, the team helps standardize performance, drive operational accountability, and support continuous improvement across the business.

Position Summary

This role is essential in bridging Enterprise partners—such as Business Plan Deployment, True North Strategy, Executive Compensation, and Operations & Engineering Chiefs of Staff—with the execution of PG&E’s annual planning cycle. The lead ensures a cohesive, actionable planning process and gains exposure to enterprise-level deliverables that drive strategic success. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships and providing guidance to Operations & Engineering stakeholders throughout the annual planning process.
  • Developing and executing a unified implementation plan for all projects within the planning program.
  • Measuring and reporting on program requirements, progress, and outcomes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional leaders to resolve issues and create Catchback plans when objectives are off-track.
  • Designing strategic communication plans that can be standardized and reused by project leads.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic programs and partners.
  • Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance teams to ensure full adherence to internal and external requirements.
  • Identifying stakeholders and tailoring communication plans based on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Creating and implementing policies and procedures to support new processes and standard work.
  • Exploring new partnerships, technologies, and delivery channels to streamline program execution.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. The position requires travel to in-person meetings in Oakland once per month.

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

Bay Area – $122,000 - $173,800

And/or

California - $116,000 - $165,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Applies broad expertise and advanced knowledge to complex issues related to enterprise planning and program delivery.
  • Leads team meetings and provides guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Influences decisions by working directly with Directors and Executives across the Enterprise.
  • Communicates complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences using various formats.
  • Integrates industry and business data knowledge into daily decision-making and practices.
  • Offers guidance on complex business processes within a compliance-driven environment.
  • Partners in the development of advanced data models while clearly communicating technical concepts.
  • Provides strategic direction for overall program execution.
  • Conducts in-depth quality assurance on information used by Executives for critical business decisions.
  • Develops and revises scopes of work to exceed compliance standards and expectations.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 8 years
  • Travel may be required

Desired:

  • PMP certified with advanced program management expertise
