Department Overview
Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. Coworkers in Electric Operations actively engage in the Lean Methodology through the use of visual management in operating reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems, and create standard work. Position Summary
Provides consultation on change management approaches, plans and practices. Provides change management support for major initiatives. Identifies communication and training opportunities and approaches to facilitate understanding and to garner support for change. Evaluates and measures results. Develops & maintains relationships to deliver desired impact and results. Partners to evaluate change management vendors, contractors or products. Incorporates OCM Methodology into existing governance processes. Identifies and incorporates industry change management best practices.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $136,000
Bay Area Maximum: $232,000
OR
California Minimum: $129,000
California Maximum: $220,000
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and incorporate industry change management best practices and internal lessons learned assessments into change management methodology.
- Partner with project managers to evaluate which change management vendors, contractors or products best meet the needs of a project.
- Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders including management, union leadership and matrix or cross-functional teams to deliver desired impact and results.
- Evaluate and measure results and success of change management strategies, plans and actions and present findings.
- Work with project teams to incorporate change management activities into the overall project plan.
- Provide change management support for major initiatives to ensure that the workforce is prepared for technology, process and organizational changes.
- Lead/champion change management strategy, approaches, plans and tactics for major company- wide change management initiatives that have company wide impact.
- Coach, mentor and train other Change Management Consultants.
- Evaluate and develop new change management tools, processes and procedures for the department.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of change management experience on large scale change projects including large technology deployments
- Experience coaching, mentoring and training others. Experience with project management practices
Desired:
- Graduate Degree in organization development or related field
